JASON TAYLOR SPEEDWAY MODELS

Launceston based glassier, Jason Taylor has managed to turn his love of the thundering V8 Dirt Track Cowboys into quite a successful small business. Jason has recently found he has quite the talent for building replica sprintcar models, of not only Tasmanian drivers, but drivers all over the world, and boy does he do a brilliant job!

Jason's love of model building has seen him build model's for drivers, team owners and fans all over Australia, including the likes of the Disbury family racing team, who own the Supaloc USA5 car driven by American Jason Johnson, Tasmanian team owner Darren Goodyer and current Australian champion Brooke Tatnell.

Other models Taylor has completed to date include the Steve and Randy Kinser “Commodore 30’s” cars, Anthony Sargent's 2005 livery, Jason Dawkins' 2005 livery, both 2005 & 2006 liveries of Kurt Luttrell, as well as Tim Hutchins' 2005 & 2006 liveries, Adrian Redpath's 2005 Wyllie Tiles machine and Robin Dawkins 2006 Blackjack Racing cars, which consist of the T21 and USA21 Cool Chassis of Dawkins and American Brian Brown. His collection also includes a number of other cars from the World of Outlaws and World Series Sprintcars.

Taylor estimated the each model takes in excess of up to 100 hours to completely build, the reason being the perfectionist that Taylor is refuses to have his models looking anything less than just that - perfect!
Each model is airbrushed and then decaled with digitally printed stickers, to even further the realism of these stunning replicas.

The models are sold at a very reasonable $150.00 each, and taking into account the hours spent on each individual car and how great the finished product looks, you too will see that at the price, they are as good as a steal.

Taylor has recently made available a new line of his models in a die-cast range, which also look nothing short of spectacular. Pictured below is a die-cast replica of the 2006/07 Robin Dawkins Cool Chassis car:

Taylors models are not just available to team owners and drivers, but also the all important fans of this great sport. As an owner of some of these great replicas I can personally vouch for just how great they really look, and it can probably be said that photos just don't pay them any justice compared to how the real thing looks up close.
